Aku selalu berpendapat bahawa stencil atau graffiti yg di bawa ke dalam galeri bukan lagi graffiti... tapi ia sekadar seni... dan wajar hanya di terima sebegitu....
namun bila di pelawa meletakkan work aku di balai seni lukis negara baru2 ini... aku terima... jgn risau aku tak sell out...mmg mereka terpaksa melentur sedikit karya aku supaya bersesuaian dengan persekitaran galleri.... tapi aku masih berjaya buat yg terjahat yg aku mampu... untuk tatapan...harapnya para VIP dalam "industri" seni.... so kesimpulan yg ingin aku buat ialah...berada di sana takkan buat kau sell out.... tetapi jika kau berada di sana tapi tak tau apa yg harus kau perkatakan... itu sell out... mmg la suara aku tak selantang seperti jeritan aku bila on the street.... tapi aku yakin perkerjaan aku di balai tempoh hari bakal buat sesetengah org buka mata......

is it ya realy doing it at "balai seni lukis negara" ermm..when..and is it okey for you that people will know you..are you doing alone or with ya crew or another crew...really like to see it..

ReplyDeletei wasnt concern about myself anymore lately... just as i love banksy way... i also love shepard approach... that guy is fucking millionaire now.... yea i know... but i was admire that he really made his statement BOLD everywhere...in his web... in his work and at the same time doing it in open manner... he's not hiding his identity and at the same time made his strong statement. but not like i love to make money like him.
but i probably going to that stage slowly.... plus im not really anonymous anymore.... i really wanted to encourage people to do stencils and one of the best way is to sacrifice my identity.... its like if my friend didnt know what i did... how am i going to encourage them to do as i did rite?
but then theres another problem.... when i start letting my friend into my "world" they start to talk bout me to everyone.... so that is what happen to me.... people start to know me[not that i like it] so no use of hiding anymore.... plus the basic rule actually is, they need to caught you red handed if they to charge you.... so just dont get caught!
i also hope for some impact...yea impact... haha
and sure you can go there at "balai seni lukis negara" now...its already on.... just not properly launch yet... since theres some changes in the cabinet after last election.... they having difficulties to ask PAK LAH to launch it.... he is either having such a headache after losing a lot or he is sleeping a lot.

Sell out atau tidak itu terpulang pada kita.Hanya pengkarya yg berkarya itu sahaja yg tahu tujuan yg sebenar.Kalau niat utk "educate" educate lah ia.kalau nak "show off" show off la dia...btw congrats for being in that place....
